Yes! The majority of the KED helmets are manufactured in Germany.

Helmets with the "Made in Germany“Label are produced entirely in Germany, which guarantees the highest production standards and quality. From foaming the helmet in the interior of the helmet to final assembly to the smallest injection molding part, we produce everything under one roof. Every step is checked. This expertise in our own house is important to us, it is our basis to go its own independent ways.

While many of our helmets are manufactured in Germany, there are also some models that are marked as "designed and engineered in Germany". These helmets are designed and developed in Germany, using the same high standards and technologies. However, the production of these helmets takes place outside of Germany, which means that we can offer a wider product range without compromising in quality.

KED helmets use several patented technologies to ensure maximum protection and comfort:

• Inmold technology: It enables a seamless and high -strength network of upper shell and EPS-Inside, which leads to an extremely light helmet with a high security reserve.
• EPS Inner shell: This ensures optimal damping properties with an impact and offers an ideal balance between weight, ventilation openings and material costs.
• Maxshell technology: This ensures a robust and light helmet construction.
• Mips: Helmets with that Mips Use label are with the progressive Mips Brain Protection System equipped.

The EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) Interior shell is a central element of every helmet. It determines the damping properties in the event of an impact. Thanks to our 30-year know-how, we achieve a particularly powerful structure that optimally protects in an impact.

The Inmold technology ensures a transitional and high -strength network of upper shell and EPS-Inschle. This leads to one "Seamless Design" without transitionswhich is not only visually appealing, but also a extremely low weight offers with high security.

Thanks to our local production at the company location in Freiberg am Neckar, we are independent of international supply chains.
